Community ministries

There is a Bible Study each week at the Pines and the High Rise. The Jackson Ministerial Alliance takes turns a month at a time to bring these.

Good Samaritan services

The Jackson Ministerial Alliance takes turns offering a service on Sunday afternoons at the Good Samaritan nursing home. This is a time where we sing together and the pastor or speaker shares a few minutes from God's Word.

Music Ministry

The worship teams are made up of people in our church who are able to sing, play a guitar, drums, piano, saxophone and sound board. Other instruments are used also as they are available. The purpose of the worship teams is to help bring us to the presence of God. We are coming to church and singing for an audience of ONE. That one is God.

Prayer Ministry

We have a time of prayer in our morning service and pray for the needs of the church and also for our community leaders. We also have prayer cards that allow people to turn in and the Wednesday night group prays for these people and their needs. There is an email prayer chain that is used for specific needs and emergencies. These are sent out whenever the need arises. Those who do not have email receive phone calls. This allows us to keep the church aware of prayer needs.

Media Ministry

The Media Ministry involves preparation and performance in several areas:

• We use MediaShout, PowerPoint and DVD visuals to enhance the service.
• We record every sermon, which allows us to make them available to those who are not able to attend. Sermons are available on CD and here on our website.
• We practice with the Worship Team to make sure everything works the very best possible.
