It is God’s work in us through the redeeming and sanctifying work of Jesus that we are who we are. This is true for all mankind. Our abilities and wisdom and righteousness are a gift of God’s grace so we boast in Jesus alone.
As we enter and exit seasons of life, how can we continue to preach (proclaim) the word of God to those in our sphere of influence?
Our love goes astray. We must stay fervent, renewing our connection with Christ through prayer and rejoicing in our stewardship of God’s manifold grace. Then we can love with the intensity of Christ’s pursuing love.
We break the crazy cycle of selfishness and sin when we cover sin with love. Love has the power to overcome evil and lead people to repentance. We love without complaint just as I would love Jesus himself.
Society defines love many different ways, often with a self-centered focus. God’s agape love is unconditional, self-sacrificing, commitment to live for the good of others as magnified by the life and sacrifice of Jesus and explained in the many one-another commands of Scripture.
As Followers of Jesus, we must remain closely connected to the Body of Christ – our Spiritual Family – who together build one another up in love and truth to reflect Christ’s glory, goodness, and grace to a world in need of His light and life.
